mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Williams, along with
fellow astronaut Barry "Butch" Wilmore, splashed down safely off the

The Indian-American
astronaut's prolonged stay in space was due to technical difficulties with the
Boeing Starliner spacecraft, which was initially scheduled for an eight-day

The SpaceX Crew Dragon
capsule, named Freedom, carried Williams and her fellow astronauts back to
Earth, splashing down in the Gulf of Mexico at 3:27 AM IST on March 19, 2025.
